In early September, I was approached by Ben Duckworth, founder of start-up brand Fibonacci Polo, who was in need of some commercial product photography ahead of the launch of his companies’ new website – fibonaccipolo.com
Sitting at the heart of the Fibonacci brand is their No 1 Glove which is rapidly gaining a reputation in the sport for providing polo players with superb grip and control in all conditions. Fibonacci also produce lifestyle wear, including crew t-shirts and caps for both men and women – a good move on Ben’s part in helping spread the Fibonacci name in the polo and equine world.
The aim of the shoot was to capture studio style shots of each product to allow Ben to populate the online shop listings for each item. Having both not worked with a product or commercial photographer before and unfamiliar with booking and using models, I was more than happy to assist Ben with sourcing both female and male models as well as guiding him on how to best maximise his budget for the photoshoot. As such, all images were produced in 1-day shoot with a mobile studio setup in Ben’s home near Frome.
Following the shoot, Ben was delighted with the imagery leaving the following review,
I contacted Phil so I could get some photos of my clothing brand products. As I had little knowledge on photography Phil helped throughout the whole process, from sourcing models for the job and working with me to getting the best shots. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and graphic designer. I’m looking forward to working with him again and would definitely recommend.
