As an existing client of mine, I’d previously created a dental website for Paul Eastham during his career as a private dentist. Since retiring from practicing in 2015, Paul went onto gain a diploma in Hypnotherapy (Dip.Hyp). from the Anglo European College of Hypnosis and contacted me in April 2018 to ask if I could produce a simple website to promote his new skills. He was also after a professional headshot to accompany his website.
Although Paul only required one portrait shot for his website, it was imperative this could work both in a letterbox/banner orientation as well as a square crop for mobile and social media use. To capture his portrait, I visited Paul at his home in Ealing, London and setup my studio lighting in his consolation room. Including setup, the whole shoot took just 1 hour and Paul was able to review and sign-off his image on the day to then be used on his hypnotherapy website. His selected portrait can be seen below in the gallery above as well as on the photography section of my website.
With Paul’s photograph captured, I then moved onto designing his website. As with all new businesses, it was key for Paul’s website to have a watertight structure to allow it to rank well on search engines when launched. Paul was also keen to keep a minimal feel, both through the use of a monochrome colour palette and plenty of white space. A contact form features throughout every page of the website to allow for clients to easily contact Paul. The whole site was designed via a custom WordPress layout and built to be fully responsive on desktop, tablet and mobile.
The finished site can be seen at www.ealinghypnotherapy.co.uk.
