Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom

Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom 1-on-1 workshop

Whether you’ve never used Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom, are an aspiring photographer with some initial experience or a confident user who’d like to learn a specific skill, I offer dedicated 1-on-1 Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom workshops from my studio in Bath.

Used daily in my workflow as a professional photographer, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom have been made to work seamlessly together. For the majority of users, Photoshop is the name they’ll associate with image editing. However, Lightroom is an incredibly powerful application that, in my opinion, is a much better tool for organising photographs and running most edits. For more complex image editing Photoshop shines through but by combining the two programmes, I’ll look to show you how to streamline your workflow and get the very most out of your images.

My aim with all my workshops is to tailor them specifically to your needs. If you’ve already got a grip on Photoshop and editing but want to know more about how to organise your portfolio, that’s no problem. If you’re a complete novice and want to understand how to get the most out of your photographs, that’s no issue. I’ll explain and show you how to get the most out of Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom.

As with most programmes like Photoshop and Lightroom, there’s always several ways to achieve what you’re after. However, some methods are not necessarily the quickest or best solution. As an award-winning photographer, I’m here to show you how to start out on the right foot. Whether this is removing blemishes from a portrait, batch editing a series of 100 photos in just a few clicks or creating striking black and white prints, I’ll show you my working practices in a friendly and relaxed training session.

For aspiring photographers, please see my Photography Basics workshop where I offer 1-on-1 photography training on understanding and using your camera.

Workshop rates

All my classes are run privately on a 1-on-1 basis and charged at £45 per hour (no VAT applied).

For new users, an initial session lasting 3-4 hours is usually best to discover the basics and then after some home practice, a further series of 1-2 hour sessions can be booked to develop specific skills. However, please get in touch to discuss your exact requirements and I’ll be more than happy to advise on the time and cost needed to achieve your Photoshop and Lightroom aims.

“Philip is a really empathetic photographer. I found I could work with him and he worked with me, removing all my phobias about how terrible I usually come out in photographs. I’m thrilled with the result.”
